Event: "My brain and I: Cerebral passions"

To wrap up an amazing year, we participated in an open event for the youth in Medellín with the support of our partner, the GNA.

We organized an activity circuit to motivate curiosity about the human brain and emotions. We greeted more than 80 participants!

One of our facilitators led an activity for every assistant to plant a small vegetable garden following the principles of companion planting. They learned how plants are able to work as a team, how they enhance each other's strengths, and how a crop must be cared for to bear fruit. Finally, participants shared ideas about how gardening is similar to the daily exercise of nurturing our brains.

Our third group of 2022 also led an activity! They were inspired by one of the games we played, which they turned into a social experiment that brought laughter to the audience. Their goal was to challenge the audience on unconscious stereotypes and emotional responses. They definitely leveled the game up!

Olazabal Center 2022

During the month of December we shared moments with children in La Plata, Argentina.

Filtered water free of major contaminants can provide a better quality of life for plants and people. A way to carry out this filtered water is with reusable and natural materials.

We represented prejudices by making a stained monocle, because judgments cover others when we look at them. Once those insecurities were released, the monocles were cleaned to discover a cleaner and lighter vision of the world, which allows us to appreciate people for who they really are.

Tamacha School 2022

Students and Their Families
At Tamacha, a school in Tenjo, Colombia, teachers are working towards regeneration using Salam and Suri’s activity books. We traveled to the school on a fresh morning, to gather with students and their families.

Families are fundamental to sustaining regenerative education! We were delighted to reflect with them about joining forces to transform Earth's present and future.

We proposed to all participants an activity so each member of the family could explore the footprints they are leaving on Earth and on other people.

GNA 2022

During 2022 in Medellín, we accompanied three groups of students aged 10-18 years old to explore topics about digital citizenship and sexuality.

Through April and May (2022), we worked on digital citizenship with a group of students in Medellín. As a final project, they designed a triptych to represent the complexities generating violence in digital environments.

Throughout 2 months, students committed to finding all the threads that interconnect them. They also unraveled the qualities and details that they admired from every participant.

A group of artists, community leaders, and future engineers that brightened up every Saturday for us. Thank you!

FILBO 2022

We had our big launch during FILBO 2022 as we know best: filled with aromas, colors, and games.

Celebrating our big launch! The international book fair of Bogotá, Colombia, was the scenario for our first published and printed books in 2022. We prepared workshops, animated videos, and family activities. A place to build community!

Our stand felt fresh and full of plants, colors, aromas and incense. We were watched over day and night by our books’ characters.

FELIBAR 2022

We traveled to the bookfair in Barrancabermeja, Colombia!

Colorful, warm, and luminous: that was our stand in the book fair at Barrancabermeja (Santander, Colombia).

Salam, our migrating crane, was our leading character in this book fair, whose theme was “Let me read in peace”.
